The Program Team was tasked with creating a budget for 2022-23 and we’ve put together a plan for the coming year. Today, we are sending our plan and budget to Club Members in advance of our April meeting so that everyone has a chance to read and review it. We also want to give everyone a heads-up for the Spring Retreat scheduled for April 21-14 at Cortland Lodge. The plan will be discussed at the April meeting. If you can’t attend the April meeting, please send your comments in advance to Marie Hornbein.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PROGRAM ACTIVITIES ARE NOT MANDATORY. If you don’t want to participate in an activity that is YOUR CHOICE.
Club members who do a presentation or learning activity at our regular scheduled monthly meetings will NOT receive compensation.
However, club members who lead a workshop or seminar presentation outside out regular monthly meeting schedule will be compensated.
There is a significant difference between preparing a presentation for a monthly meeting and the hours involved in gaining expertise enough to prepare and lead a 2-day, hands-on workshop. We recognize the difference because we have paid demonstrators for these types of presentations at our seminars and retreats. To date, the club has chosen /approved individuals to do presentations, and has compensated them accordingly (and conversely has chosen not to have others who were considered too expensive). Leadership has not benefitted from these arrangements.
Club members are always welcome to volunteer a learning activity at meetings or suggest program ideas. Submit your information to Susan Adams, Linda Corsover, or Marie Hornbein. Love to hear from you!
Some members would like to learn more about machine knitting while others prefer to KNIT so learning activities are only offered about every other meeting.
Meetings:
Encourage members to share their knowledge: As part of Show and Tell, each member answers a question, such as: What do you do when you can’t get gauge?
Why did you choose machine knitting?
What is your favorite machine and why?
How do you respond to, “it’s cheating?”
What do you like to knit?
Question: Do you want Show and Tell to be part of every Club meeting?
